From Studio to Showcase: Menna Jones’ Rosy Ind Journey

Swansea Print Workshop is delighted to host Swansea artist Menna Jones in an exhibition of work created during her Rosy Ind Award at our printmaking studio. We would like to invite you to join us to celebrate her printmaking journey.

An exceptionally talented artist and designer, Menna was the recipient of the 2025 Rosy Ind Emerging Printmakers Bursary Award. With a background in silversmithing and jewellery design, the Rosy Ind bursary enabled Menna to expand her creative practice and shift her professional focus as an artist and designer. During her busy bursary period, Menna actively engaged in a workshop programme and explored numerous printmaking processes and techniques, including etching, wood engraving, cyanotype, and linocut. Her primary focus, however, was screen-printing. Through this, she has expertly used the exposure unit to integrate photographic images into her designs.

In the work that she has created for this exhibition, Menna has refined her techniques with maturity, as she continues to experiment with texture, pattern, and form. Menna’s Welsh roots play a crucial role in shaping her work, and she draws inspiration from the natural environment that surrounds her.
