At Grand Ambition Swansea, we are dedicated to championing local stories, talent, and community through the power of theatre.
Grand Ambition is a company in residence at Swansea Grand Theatre. Formed in 2022, the creative collective is made up of professional artists: Richard Mylan, Steve Balsamo, Michelle McTernan and Christian Patterson.
The collective is supported organisationally by freelancer Stella Patrick, Swansea Council and staff at Swansea Grand Theatre.
By bringing untold narratives to life and nurturing homegrown creativity, we hope to create performances that inspire, connect, and celebrate Swansea and its people.
We are dedicated to fostering local talent by providing opportunities for Swansea’s writers, performers, creatives and backstage talent to shine. We aim to build strong community connections by creating spaces where audiences and artists can come together to share meaningful experiences. Above all, we believe in the transformative power of theatre to educate, entertain, and inspire, making every performance a celebration of creativity, culture, and community.
