As a Creative Producer/ Programme Manager I have produced and delivered programmes with a wide range of creative organisations working across Film, Theatre and Visual arts including with Ffilm Cymru, WOW Film Festival, Arts Council of Wales, BBC Wales, Volcano Theatre and Winding Snake Productions. With a wealth of experience in development, partnerships and programme collaboration in the creative sector across Wales—I am an imaginative and innovative thinker, as well as a versatile and confident communicator.
Some of my highlights include:
- Partnership Manager- Ffilm Cymru delivering place based creative skills and training programmes in Newport and Swansea, opening up creative work experience and hand on training opportunities in Film including work with Creative Swansea, BBC Studios and Tin Shed Theatre.
- Programme Manager/Producer on Ffolio, a talent development scheme for new Writer/Directors with BBC Cymru Wales, BBC Arts and the Arts Council of Wales;
- Film in Afan; Project Manager on Ffilm Cymru’s pioneering mobile cinema, film education and community regeneration programme.
- Produced Film Education work around “We’re Still Here” with National Theatre Wales.
- Project Manager- Foot in the Door trainee skills programme including on Keeping Faith / Un bore Mercher (BBC/S4C/Vox Productions) and Euros Lyn’s Dream Horse, GALWAD (National Theatre Wales/Sky Arts).
- Project Manager/Programmer- WOW Film Festival- Women’s Film Club Film screenings and events.
- Project Manager- Volcano Theatre- producing two large scale street art festivals on Swansea’s High Street with a mix of national and local artists and creatives, across theatre, performance and visual arts.
- Arts and marketing development at the Welfare arts and community venue and Swansea University; curating and programming high quality arts experiences in both urban and rural areas of Wales.
I began my career as a Television Researcher (self-shooting) on factual and light entertainment programmes broadcast on BBC and ITV. I then set up and managed Media Production company Spill Media for 6 years; producing promotional film, marketing content and delivering practical filmmaking and digital story workshops. This included working in Communities First areas and teaching in primary and secondary schools and in community settings across Wales.
