About Me
Tesla Mitchell is a filmmaker and professional climber based in Wales, working at the intersection of documentary storytelling and outdoor advocacy. A BA graduate in Cinematography and Film Production, she brings sixteen years of experience in competitive climbing — including the title of Scottish National Bouldering Champion — to her work behind the camera, creating authentic, technically grounded stories about the outdoors.
In 2026, she fundraised, directed, produced, and edited her debut feature documentary, Allta, shot across the Scottish Highlands, following women developing new boulder problems and pushing for greater community access to outdoor climbing. The project saw her lead every stage of production, from brand partnerships and contracts to camera and audio on location.
Tesla is driven by a mission to make outdoor sport more accessible and better represented on screen, particularly for women and underrepresented communities, and is currently building toward directing and producing further documentary and fiction work exploring authentic outdoor storytelling.
