About Me
I am a Creative Practitioner and Therapeutic Counsellor based in Swansea.
My background is in Theatre making and playwriting. Previous shows have included 'Ugly Lovely' (Old Red Lion Theatre) and 'The Wrong Ffion Jones' (Vault Festival, Paines Plough Roundabout, Underbelly Edinburgh) to 4 and 5* reviews.
I retrained as a Therapeutic Counsellor in 2021 because of my interest in wellbeing support through creative practices. Since then, I have worked as a school-based Counsellor, an Associate Counsellor for Wellbeing in the Arts and a Workshop Facilitator for the Dylan Thomas Centre. I enjoy delivering creative writing and wellbeing workshops for all ages.
My areas of interest across all disciplines are:
- Using British Sign Language and working with the D/deaf community
- Working alongside new parents/mums to combat pre or postpartum depression or anxiety
- Working with young people to explore emotions and self confidence
- Working with ‘Existentialism’
I also love sighthounds, Shakespeare and learning Welsh.
